The Antonio Verolino Gallery presents \u201cVerde Brillante. Or of the interpretative possibilities of becoming form”, a collective exhibition curated by Leonardo Regano which brings together the work of eight artists, different in age and expressive languages but united by the choice of the theme of the representation of the tree in their research.
\nThe title of the exhibition, freely taken from the essay of the same name by the botanist Stefano Mancuso, ideally connects the complexity of the plant kingdom to the different potentialities of the artistic act, presenting an investigation based on the dialogue between sculpture, painting, drawing and photography.
\nThe incipit of the exhibition and of this ideal story on the different expressive possibilities of the tree shape are eight silk-screen drawings created by Cesare Leonardi (Modena, 1935 \u2013 Baggiovara, 2021) and taken from \u201cL\u2019Architettura degli Alberi\u201d, the famous volume written in collaboration with Franca Stagi (Modena, 1937 – 2008) and published in 1982. In his studies, Leonardi elaborates more than 500 1:100 scale tables of 212 different tree species, taken as models by the famous architect from Modena to modulate his urban planning and design.<\/p>\n
